OK. here's my take on this, You would have to buy 3-4 full Heroscape sets to make a half way decent btech field. The coloring of the parts would not really fit the btech game. And although it would make 3D playing for betch fun. The time and effort put into constructing the landscape isn't worth it when you can just =use the btech mini rules
However, the game itself isn't half bad. it's alot like Dungeon Dice, only with figures and landscape. Doesn't take long to learn how to play. I taught my 14 year old daughter how it in a matter of mintues. Buliding your own battlefield is fun as well. I baught on starter kit. and two booster sets. the final price was about $90. a little to expensive for a game you'll prooly only play once in awhile.
The Figures that come with it look pretty good. And some would make decent AD&D mini. In the long run, it would be cheaper to buy the AD&D mini set.
all in all. Heroscape gets a thumbs down from me. mostly because of the cost.
